According to current rumors, Apple plans to introduce new AirPods Pro and a new iPhone SE in April. The report describes, among other things, changes to the housing of the small Bluetooth headphones.
The Japanese site Macotakara has published alleged plans for Apple's AirPods Pro and the iPhone SE in the past few hours . The report is based on statements from Chinese suppliers.
According to the report, the case of the new AirPods Pro will shrink slightly. Specifically, the dimensions should be 46 mm in height and 54 mm in width. The current case measures 45.2 or 60.6 mm. On the other hand, nothing should change in the thickness, which is currently 21 mm.
AirPods Pro 2: slimmer charging case due to newly designed headphones?
The page did not provide any further details about the AirPods Pro. In the past few months, however, there has been a report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, according to which the iPhone manufacturer is to work on a completely new design of the AirPods Pro .
According to this report, Apple allegedly plans to completely remove the trunk of the AirPods Pro. Apple's next generation of true wireless headphones could, for example, be similar to the Galaxy Buds Live . Instead, an overall rounder design should take up more space in the user's ear to create space for the necessary technology. Gurman pointed out, however, that it is not yet certain that Apple will be able to implement this design.
iPhone SE: Third generation allegedly also in April 2021
Macotakara also named a third generation of the iPhone SE in the current report. Earlier rumors have always spoken of an iPhone SE Plus, i.e. a larger version of the iPhone SE (2020) with a 5.5 or 6.1 inch display. The obvious basis for such a design could be the iPhone 8 Plus .
However, the site does not provide any specific details about the new iPhone SE 3. The introduction of a new SE model after just one year would be a bit of a surprise. Around four years passed between the presentation of the first and second generation of the affordable Apple smartphone.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said a few months ago that an update of the iPhone SE update would not appear before the second half of 2021 at the earliest . It remains to be seen which information will come true at the moment.
