Pixel 5 and 4a 5G: Vodafone lets out the start of sales
Google's Pixel 5 and 4a 5G will reach us in the coming weeks. Internal details from Vodafone Germany now indicate an expected date.
For a few weeks there have been indications of alleged appointments for the two expected Google smartphones. For example, Google France wrote in a blog post for a short time about a start on October 8th. Leaker Jon Prosser said a little later that it could be on September 30th .
But it is also possible that the two new devices could appear even earlier. Caschy's blog reports that the German mobile operator Vodafone has already had internal listings for the two devices, in which an expected date is also given.
According to the information, about "Google Pixel 5 Black" and "Google Pixel 4a 5G Black" should be available on September 25, 2020. However, further details such as memory sizes are still missing.
Such information from Vodafone is said to have been "very accurate" with the Pixel 3. With the Pixel 4a, on the other hand, things looked different, which is why the information should be treated with caution - not least because of the Corona crisis.
Pixel 5: Prices leaked
The same applies to the alleged prices that have been mentioned in the past few hours. TechnikNews wants to know that the Google Pixel 5 will start at a price of 629 euros including the currently applicable VAT of 16 percent.
The price of the Pixel 4a 5G is already known and, according to Google, will be 499 euros. As a reminder: The Pixel 4 cost 749 euros last year. For the Pixel 4 XL at least 899 euros were due.
The last leaks also gave some details about the technical specifications. A battery with 4,000 mAh should be used in the Pixel 5. The processor is apparently based on Qualcomm's middle class and uses the Snapdragon 765G, which should be paired with 6 GB of RAM. The display should support a maximum of 90 Hertz. Unlike the Pixel 4a 5G, the Pixel 5 should not have a traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack.
