IFA 2020: Honor presents new smartwatches

Honor announces the launch of two new smartwatches at IFA 2020: the Honor Watch GS Pro and the Watch ES. The GS Pro is designed for the outdoor adventurer, while the ES is designed for the fashion conscious fitness enthusiast.

The two new smartwatches complement Honor's growing Magic Watch catalog. Instead of opting for a unitary product, Huawei's sister company chose two target markets and created a watch that is specially tailored to these needs.

The GS Pro will compete against models like the Amazfit T-Rex, while the Watch ES will compete with models like the Amazfit GTS, Oppo Watch and other square-dial smartwatches.

Honor Watch GS Pro, a breath of fresh air

The Honor Watch GS Pro is a rugged smart watch designed to help urban adventurers improve their performance and get outside. According to the brand, the GS Pro can achieve a battery life of 25 days, which makes it one of the most battery-powered smartwatches on the market today.

Honor says the GS Pro continues to have 48 hours of battery life in GPS performance mode for outdoor use and an incredible 100 hours in GPS power saving mode for outdoor use. The watch can be fully charged in less than two hours.

The smartwatch has a 1.39-inch AMOLED round display that can be set to different brightness levels, making it easy to use even outdoors. The Watch GS Pro is also able to predict changes in the environment and sends out alerts when bad weather is expected, as well as reminders of the sunrise and sunset.

The smartwatch has successfully passed 14 different MIL-STD-810G tests and is designed for harsh environments. It offers a GPS return route, outdoor functions such as ski mode, sky data and weather warnings that guide you through the wilderness. It also offers intuitive functions for monitoring your performance.

The Honor Watch GS Pro was awarded the "Outdoor Innovation Wearable Gold Award" at IFA 2020. It will be available from September 7th at an RRP of EUR 249.99. It will be launched in the UK, France, Germany and Italy at the same time and will be available in anthracite black, white brown and camouflage blue.

Honor Watch ES, for athletes who have style

The Honor Watch ES is aimed more at people who want a smartwatch and want to lead a healthier life. This watch is - without the high price - much more "Apple Watchy". With a weight of only 21 g, the Watch ES is light and comfortable.

It has an improved 1.64-inch AMOLED rectangular display, 44 animated exercise movements, 95 training modes and a range of functions for monitoring health and fitness. The Watch ES is equipped with an SpO2 monitor that allows users to track the oxygen saturation level of their blood.

There is also a 24/7 heart rate monitor supported by Huawei TruSeen 4.0 with an advanced AI algorithm that warns the user if they have an abnormal heart rate while exercising.

The Watch ES is also equipped with a sleep monitor that uses the Huawei TruSleep 2.0 to monitor the length and quality of sleep, while the stress monitor with the Huawei TruRelax tracks the stress level of users.

A range of breathing exercises to help relax and regain balance during times of stress are also available. Honor also has a "Female Cycle Tracker" built in to help users track and predict their menstrual cycle, with notifications of the next menstrual cycle and fertility period.

The Honor Watch ES will also be available from September 7th at an RRP of 99.99 euros. The starting markets are the same as the GS Pro, but this time the colors available are black, pink, and white.

"Honor has seen tremendous growth in the wearables industry and wants to continue to focus on reinventing its offerings to keep pace with the ever-changing needs of consumers. Whether it's taking adventure to new heights To guide or help users achieve their fitness goals, our sophisticated and stylish smart watches will deliver on that promise to end users. Honor is committed to putting technology and innovation at the heart of this pursuit of an active and healthy lifestyle " said George Zhao, President of Honor Global.
