MSI MEG Aegis Ti5: MSI's new gaming PC arrives armed to the teeth with an RTX 3080, an i9-10900K and up to 128GB of RAM

MSI has wasted no time. If a few days ago NVIDIA announced its new RTX 3000 , now it has been MSI that has announced the MEG Aegis Ti5 , a gaming tower of the highest range that, of course, can mount an RTX 3080 in its most powerful configuration. And if that were not enough, it does not fall short in processor and RAM, since it supports up to 128 GB.

Like almost all gaming PCs, its design is anything but sneaky. It is not that it has a pair of RGB fans in the front, but that the cabinet has a very aggressive and peculiar shape , similar to a science fiction robot helmet, with two LED strips on the front, as many on the side and others so many in the lower area. Special mention should be made of the front indicator, which will be used to monitor the performance of the PC.

A brutal gaming PC

We talked before about the design, but leaving aside the aesthetics, it is advisable to pay special attention to the front and the cooling. On the one hand, the tower has a front indicator (with RGB, needless to say), which allows you to switch between different performance modes . In addition, it can be configured so that when you press it, it launches a certain game and even to function as a light and sound control panel. MSI ensures that it is equipped with AI and that it is capable of detecting our location to show us information such as time and temperature directly on the knob.

As for cooling, MSI has opted for its Silent Storm Cooling 4 technology . It is a dissipation technology that consists of separating the GPU and the CPU in two compartments and adding a vent to the back of the board to cool the Voltage Regulator Module. Needless to say, the processor features its own All in One liquid cooling .

In terms of components, the tower does not fall short. At its highest configuration, the MEG Aegis Ti5 mounts an Intel Core i9-10900K processor , an Intel Z490 motherboard, an MSI GeForce RTX 3080, and up to 128GB of DDR4 RAM . It has three M.2 bays (2 x SATA / PCIe and one PCIe), two 2.5-inch and one 2.5-inch bays, and a 750W category 80 Plus Gold modular PSU. The connectivity is in charge of WiFi 6, LAN 2.5 G + 1G and Bluetooth 5.1.

Finally, it should be noted that the PC mounts MSI Sound Tune technology , which uses artificial intelligence to filter noise from the environment and the microphone from other players to offer clearer communication. It is a kind of noise cancellation based on a deep neural network that has been trained with more than 500 million data.
